There are several schools of Islamic law, each with its own interpretation of the Quran and Muhammad's teachings. The most common school of Islamic law is the Sunni Maliki school. Other schools include the Shiite Jaafari school and the Sunni Hanbali school.

Why is studying Islamic Law important?
Islamic law is an important field of study for several reasons. First, it provides a legal framework for Muslim countries to govern their people according to Islamic principles. Second, Islamic law is a source of guidance for Muslims on how to live their lives in accordance with the Quran and the teachings of Muhammad.
