Introduction
LLM Technology and Artificial Intelligence Law gives you specialist knowledge of the law regulating technology. The programme covers a range of themes, including:
- Privacy laws relating to technology
- Data protection
- Legal technologies
- Human rights and technology
- Regulation of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity
You will learn about the use of technology to address current and emerging global challenges such as climate change, pandemics, sustainability, and digital inclusion and the role of law in facilitating and guiding that use while ensuring society is protected from potential harm caused by the more radical and disruptive technologies.
The programme is suitable for law graduates with an interest in technology law - an emerging and increasingly important area of legal practice, and also for non-law graduates who seek corporate employment with a focus on the regulation of technology.
The programme offers flexible delivery, which includes face-to-face delivery on the Bradford campus, or distance learning. Full-time and part-time options are offered for both types of programmes.

Specialist support is available throughout the course from Career and Employability Services including help to find part-time work while studying, placements, vacation work and graduate vacancies. Students are encouraged to access this support at an early stage and to use the extensive resources on the Careers website.
Discussing options with specialist advisers helps to clarify plans through exploring options and refining skills of job-hunting. In most of our programmes, there is direct input by Career Development Advisers into the curriculum or through specially arranged workshops.
